今回の科学研究費補助金の助成申請は、主に悉班学の日本文化における位置とその影響圏を再検討するための資料的側面での予備調査を行い、それによって得られたデ-タを整理することにある。しかしながら、日本における悉曇学関連資料は数量的に当初の予想をはるかに上回るものであり、今回の予備調査ではそのすべてを尽くすことはできなかった。平成三年度は、今回の研究のまとめと、今後の研究のための準備段階として次の作業を行った。(1)浄厳の儀軌・陀羅尼書写は近世初期の文芸復興とも関連する重要な資料であるが、平成2年度にはすでに、この浄厳が収集・書写した経典類を岩波書店刊『契沖全集』によって目録(カ-ド)化済みである。平成三年度には、さらにこの目録を化の研究者が使い易い形のものとすべく、コンピュ-タ-可読式のデ-タベ-スとして記録する作業を行った。(2)高貴寺に所蔵されている慈雲の収集整理した悉曇学に関する一大コレクション、『梵学律梁』の現地調査を行った。これは、『慈雲尊者全集』所収の『梵学律梁』の目録化を行った後、それと比較しながら進めたものであり、現地における資料の目録化にも着手した。この作業はまだ完成していないが、これが終了次第、(1)で行って作業と同様に、コンピュタ-可読式のデ-タベ-ス化へと移行する予定である。(3)石山寺ー切経および校倉聖教に含まれる悉曇資料については、すでに平成二年度に目録化済みであるが,本年度は(1)の作業と同様、これをコンピュ-タ可読式のデ-タベ-ス化した。
