项目摘要

1.ブロイラ-雛における脚弱の発生やうずくまり姿勢の頻度を減少させ、脂質過剰蓄積や肉質低下を防止できるような管理方法を策定しようとして、雛の行動と肉質におよぼす飼育密度の影響について検討した。2.ブロイラ-専用種雄および雌雛を、無窓鶏舎内、平飼い条件で育成した。2週齢時に雄・雌雛とも3区に分け、それぞれ6羽/m^2、12羽/m^2および18羽/m^2の飼育密度で8週齢まで飼育した。飼料および水は自由摂取とし、照明は終日点灯とした。3.脚弱の発生はほとんど無く、飼育密度間における違いは認められなかった。また、胸肉汚染の発生は観察されなかった。4.1日の移動距離合計は雄雌ともに4週齢時の方が8週齢時よりも大きく、また両週齢時ともに飼育密度が低いほど移動距離は大きいことが観察された。5.うずくまり姿勢の観察頻度は全ての飼育密度で高く、特に8週齢時の全ての飼育密度で雄では全観察回数の90%以上であったが、飼育密度の影響は認められなかった。6.腿肉重量の体重比は雄雌とも4週齢時では飼育密度が低いほど大きかったが、他の週齢では飼育密度の影響は認められなかった。胸肉および腹腔内脂肪重量の体重比には飼育密度の影響は観察されなかった。7.腿肉の粗脂肪含量は4週齢の雌において飼育密度が低いほど低下することが認められた。胸肉の粗脂肪含量は全ての週齢において飼育密度が低いほど低下する傾向が認められた。8.飼育密度は若齢時のブロイラ-雛の移動距離、腿肉重量および粗脂肪含量に影響することが認められたが、週齢が進むに伴いその影響は明らかではなくなった。
