仙骨神経叢背側部を、ヒトを中心に解剖した。7体12側について、分節構成を調査し、さらに3体6側について実体顕微鏡下で梨状筋の支配神経を剖出した。仙骨神経叢を起始部まで十分に調査するため、骨成分を十分に取り除いた。それによって次のような結果を得た。1.仙骨神経叢の背側部において、上殿神経は、下殿神経より近背側に起始し、下殿神経は総腓骨神経の背側に位置することが明らかとなった。2.上殿神経は、太い頭側部と細い尾側部に分れることが明らかとなった。頭側部は上殿神経の下枝に続き、尾側部は上殿神経の上枝に続く。つまり、上殿神経の頭側部と尾側部は、中殿筋ならびに小殿筋に達する手前で交差していた。3.仙骨神経叢背側部に起始する梨状筋神経は、次の3グル-プに分類することができた。1)上殿神経の叢尾側根より起始する神経、2)下殿神経の尾側根より起始する神経、3)総腓骨神経より起始する神経。よって、梨状筋神経は仙骨神経の最背側の枝であるという従来の成書の記載とは異なる。仙骨神経叢の背側部の層的構成を考えると、梨状筋は単一の筋層よりではなく、数層よりなる複合筋であると言える。その他、アカゲザルについても解剖調査を行ない、ほぼ同様の結果を得ることができた。霊長類の仙骨神経叢の層的構成については現在デ-タの整理を行っており、近日発表の予定である。
