溶媒抽出に関するファクトデータの収録ならびにこれを検索するためのソフトウエアの制作を行い、これらを一体としてデータベースとしたシステム化の構築を進めた。本データベースには、キレート抽出系やイオン会合系などさまざまな抽出系での抽出データが収録されており、これには分配定数、抽出定数、付加錯体生成定数などの定数、表の形式で数値として報告されている抽出結果、曲線などの図式化して表現されている抽出結果が含まれる。所定の手続きによって検索条件を指定することにより、以下に示すように利用できる。1)指定した元素について、指定の試薬、溶媒条件下での抽出率および分配比などの値を示す。2)指定した、元素、試薬、溶媒の組み合われにおいて、抽出率や分配比が水相の酸濃度(またはpH)あるいは試薬濃度にどのように依存するかを、指定した濃度範囲について、図(曲線)式化して示す。3)上記2)において、元素、試薬、溶媒の条件が異なる場合の結果を比較しやすいように図の中に重ねて示す。4)ある元素について、抽出定数や分配定数が指定の値、あるいは指定の範囲に収まるような試薬と溶媒の組み合わせを知る。5)ある試薬と溶媒の組み合わせで、抽出定数や分配定数、あるいは付加錯体生成定数が抽出定数や分配定数が指定の値、あるいは指定の範囲に収まるような元素を知る。6)今後の期待として、収録されている抽出データの検索と連動したプログラムにより、抽出データがまだ報告されていない条件での結果の予想と、最も適当な抽出条件の推測への発展が考えられる。
