本研究は当初申請のとおり、今後実施を計画中の中国との国際共同研究の準備を行なうものである。本年度の研究実施計画に基づき、以下の如く研究を行なった。中国側との事前交渉=現在、省内に趙・中山・燕の戦国三王陵区をもつ河北省との間で、共同研究の交渉が成立し、河北省側から中国国家文物局への内諾も得られ、何時でも共同調査が可能な状況となっている。その他、三東省はじめ各省とは交渉を継続中である。調査技術の開発=中国戦国王陵の規模は実に雄大である。趙王陵を例としても陵園の規模は一辺が500mをこえる巨大さである。しかし既に事前折衝で、中国での航空測量は膨大な経費が要求されそうである。これが為、人工衛星による写真測量法を研究開発するべく調査研究を行ない、基礎作業となるT.P.C(人工衛星による50万分の1地図)を購入し今後に備えた。同時に敏捷に測量の行なえる測量機器を購入し調査に備えた。研究資料の収集と整備=研究の基礎資料や既往の写真資料等の研究資料を、整理補助員の助力を得ながら整理し、今後の研究の展開に備えた。日中王陵の比較研究=日本側の王陵研究資料の蓄積に対し、比較すべき中国王陵の学術資料は、対象の巨大さが災いし、なお希薄である。今回の海外調査準備のための研究によって、一応の調査準備を整えることが出来た。今後、早急に海外調査を実施し、それをもとに本格的な研究に邁進したいと考える。
