【方法】日本白色種家兎18羽を用いて実験を行った。覚醒下で前脚にて非観血的血圧測定装置フィナプレスにより血圧と心拍数をモニターした。塩酸フェニレフリン4-20mug/kg/minを用いたsteady state法で圧受容体反射の感受性を測定した。すなわち横軸に血圧の変化を、縦軸にRR間隔をプロットし、直線回帰し、その勾配を圧受容体の感受性とした。10羽には大動脈弁閉鎖不全症(AR群)を、残る8羽にはシャム手術(sham群)を行った。手術後1日、1週、4週に同様な方法で圧受容体機能の測定を行った。4週間観察後開胸し、血行動態の測定を行った。終了後KC1にて屠殺し、心臓を摘出し、左室自由壁重量と壁厚を測定した。左室自由壁をホモジェナイズ、分離遠沈し、心筋細胞膜標本を得た。30-800pMの^<125>I-iodocyanopindololを用いて心筋細胞膜のbeta受容体を測定した。残る心筋でカテコラミン含量を測定した。【結果】AR群はsham群と比較して大動脈拡張期圧は低値で、左室拡張末期径、収縮末期径ともに大であった。左室拡張末期径と心拍出量に差はなかった。左室自由壁重量と壁厚は共にAR群で大であった。心筋交感神経beta受容体の最大結合部位数とノルエピネフリン含量はAR群でやや低値であった。圧受容体反射の感受性はAR作成後1日で低下し、1週後も低下していたが、4週後に作成前の値に回復した。sham群では4週間で有意な変動はなかった。【結論】ARによる急性左室容量負荷に対する代償過程において圧受容体機能が密接に関連することが明らかになった。
