本研究の内容には、(1)明治期以来の博物館および博物館教育に関する文献資料調査および研究、(2)全国各地の博物館・美術館等で実施されている博物館教育活動についての実証的な研究という2本の柱があり、本年度については、(1)、(2)の双方について調査、研究を行った。(1)については、日本における博物館学・博物館教育理論の父とも評価される棚橋源太郎に関する、彼の全著作・ノート類に迄及ぶ基礎的な文献資料調査を、岐阜県博物館等に於いて行い、その資料リスト化と、博物館教育理論に関する基礎的研究を行った。しかし、岐阜以外にも、棚橋源太郎関係の文献調査対象先は多く、今年度については、その部分に至る迄カバーすることはできず、課題として残された。(2)については、宮城県美術館・仙台市歴史民俗資料館(8月)、愛知県東栄町御園高原自然学習村(天文教育、9月)、北海道立近代美術館・同開拓記念館(10月)、新潟県十日町市立博物館(2月)、岩手県立博物館・遠野市立博物館(12月)、沖縄県名護博物館・石垣市立八重山博物館(3月)、鹿児島県立博物館長崎市立博物館(3月)、等、全国でも博物館教育活動に力を入れている館を、順次調査し、その実際における、ワークショップ活動、友の会活動などの分析を通して、それらが、如何に地域に開かれ地域住民をはじめとする利用者の生涯学習活動として意義あるものになっているか、という点を明らかにすることが出来た。博物館を身近かな生涯学習機関として活用していくための有効な手段として今後、博物館教育が、その重要性を増していくことは明らかであろう。本研究の一部は、博物館をめぐる現在的状況の分析を踏まえて、(裏面)発表文献に、その成果を掲載したが、平成6年度中に、(2)を中心とした内容に関わる研究成果をまとめて発表する予定である。

This study includes: (1) literature survey and research on museums and museum education since Meiji period;(2) empirical research on museum education activities carried out by museums and art galleries throughout the country;(3) research and research conducted on both sides of this column and this year;(1) and (2). A literature survey on the relationship between Gifu and Taro Taro (2)Miyagi Prefectural Museum of Art, Sendai City History and Folklore Museum (August), Aichi Prefectural Higashi-machi Koen Highland Nature Learning Village (Astronomical Education, September), Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art, Tongkai Memorial Museum (October), Niigata Prefectural Tokamachi Municipal Museum (February), Iwate Prefectural Museum, Toshino Municipal Museum (December), Oki Prefectural Nago Museum, Ishigaki City Yaeyama Museum (March), Kagoshima Prefectural Museum Nagasaki City Museum (March), etc., National Museum Educational Activities, Research, Practical Activities, Friends 'Club Activities, Analysis, Communication, Research, Regional Development, Regional Residents' Career Learning Activities, Significance, Research, Research, Research and Development Museums are close to career learning institutions, and there are ways to increase the importance of museum education in the future Part I of this study is an analysis of the current state of the museum, and part II is a presentation of the literature and results of the study.
