项目摘要

この研究は,北部フォッサマグナと中央北海道の新第三系堆積盆を研究対象として,その発生から埋積完了までの構造運動と海水準変動を,堆積相の特徴から考察することを目的とした.また,この研究は,背孤堆積盆における堆積シーケンスモデルの構築を目指す研究の一部をなす.この研究では,これまで堆積システムとその変遷を明らかにしてきた北部フォッサマグナについて相対的海水準変動と堆積相の関連を詳細に考察した.その成果として,堆積物供給の多いファンデルタシステムの堆積相と相対的海水準変動の関係を明らかにすることが出来た.この結果は,堆積学研究会報の論文として公表した.さらに,このシステムの具体的な海水準変動曲線を求め,沿岸域の堆積シーケンスの特徴とその堆積相分布との関連を詳細に明らかにした.これは,背孤堆積盆の沿岸域における堆積シーケンス形成の過程とその特徴を示したものであり世界的にも例がない.この成果は,Sedimentary Geologyに投稿し受理させた.また,背孤堆積盆全体のシーケンス解析は,石油地質関係の資料が蓄積されている新潟堆積盆を例として解析を進め,その全体的性格をつかむことが出来た.この結果は,石油技術協会誌の論文として公表した.堆積システムの詳細な研究と堆積盆全体の研究とを統合していくことによって,新たなモデルの構築が進むことが可能になったと考えられる.また,中央北海道においても珪藻化石帯によって精密な時間を決定し,構造運動と海水準変動が堆積相・堆積システムに及ぼした影響を考察した.その結果の一部は,地球科学の論文として公表済みであり,堆積シーケンスの特徴と日本海形成時の構造運動との関係について検討中である.以上のように,構造運動・海水準変動を定量的に捉え,堆積システムとの関連を論議するという当初の目的は達し,背孤堆積盆の堆積シーケンスモデルの構築に踏み出したといえる.

This study aims to investigate the tectonic movement, sea level fluctuation and characteristics of the sedimentary facies in the northern part of Hokkaido. This research is part of the study on the structure of the isolated accumulation basin. This study investigated in detail the relationship between the accumulation and the change of sea water in the northern part of the country. The results show that the accumulation of sediment supply is related to the relative movement of seawater. The results are presented in the Journal of the Society for the Study of Accumulation. In addition, the characteristics and distribution of accumulation phases in coastal areas are described in detail. The characteristics of the process of formation of the deposit in the coastal region of the isolated deposit basin show that the deposit in the coastal region of the isolated deposit basin has a certain degree of stability. The results of Sedimentary Geology are accepted. The data of petroleum geological relationship are accumulated in the Niigata accumulation basin, and the character of the whole basin is analyzed. The results are presented in the Journal of Petroleum Technology. A detailed study of the accumulation process and a study of the accumulation process as a whole. In central Hokkaido, the precise timing of the algal fossils was determined by tectonic movement and sea level changes, and the effects of accumulation were investigated.
