A stress has been addressed upon advanced thermo-fluid engineering problems for the establishment of a concept study on new aerospace propulsion systems. Amongst the topics which have been selected with significant importance are ;(1) high temperature turbine and high speed compressor flows,(2) chemical combustion in high speed high temperature flows, and(3) effects upon the global environments.Joint work between the University of Tokyo and CIAM has been directed toward the enhancement of technologies concerning the engine system elements, as well as an attempt to make a total system simulation of the internal fluid kinematics according to engine mathematical modeling.
