The purpose of the present study is to create a database of fossil and Recent type specimens stored in the Institute of Geology and Paleontology, Tohoku University. Totally 3856 pelecypod and 3000 scleractinian coral speciments have been recorded. Among them, 362 specimens are associated with pictures. Data in each specimen include : registration number, generic name, specific name, author, date, formation, occurrence, geologic age, place of storage and reference.

本研究的目的是创建东北大学地质古生物学研究所存储的化石和近代标本数据库。总共记录了 3856 块盘足类和 3000 块石珊瑚标本。其中，有362个标本配有图片。每个标本中的数据包括：登记号、通用名称、具体名称、作者、日期、形成、发生、地质年龄、储存地点和参考。
