これまでヒト胎児下顎骨において、骨吸収のマーカー酵素である酒石酸耐性ホスフャターゼ(TRAcP)染色による破骨細胞の染色および、軸索特異蛋白のひとつであるニューロフィラメントプロティン(NFP)による免疫組織学的手法により神経線維を染色した報告はみあたらない。そこで今回は、ヒト胎児下顎骨乳中切歯部歯槽部内面の骨吸収と、歯胚およびその周囲組織に出現する神経線維の分布について胎題4カ月と6カ月のヒト胎児について報告する。なお研究材料において、古い胎児(10%ホルマリン固定ずみ)ではまったく染色されず、新鮮な胎児の使用が望まれるが、入手が困難であったため今回は、4カ月2胎、6カ月1胎について検索した。1.TRAcP染色により破骨細胞は胎齢4カ月では、唇側歯槽部内面から底部にかけ出現し、舌側歯槽部内面には認められなかった。6カ月では唇側歯槽部内面から舌側歯槽部内面にかけ出現し、舌側歯槽部においては、その内部にも多数の破骨細胞が認められた。しかし、4カ月および6カ月において唇側、舌側歯槽部外面には破骨細胞は確認されなかった。2.NFPにおいては、胎齢4カ月では歯胚と歯槽部の間(歯襄相当部)に神経線維が確認された。しかし、歯乳頭への侵入はみられなかった。6カ月では、歯胚と歯槽部の間(歯襄相当部)および舌側歯槽頂部にも認められた。また、歯乳頭では中央部にまで細い神経線維が侵入していた。今後は、材料の胎齢数を増やし、アルカリホスファターゼ染色も行い下顎骨の改造過程を言及する。また、神経線維の分布、走行の胎齢変化についても検索する予定である。
