I.目的顎口腔系の運動能力は加齢により低下するだけではなく、歯の欠損や義歯の状態などによって影響される。そのため、老化の程度と欠損歯列に対する補綴装置の有無や機能状況との相関を調査することに意義がある。さらに、顎口腔系以外の運動能力との関連性も考えられる。そこで、咀嚼を想定した機能検査として音刺激に応じる歯牙、および手指のタッピング運動の定常性と運動軌跡のスムーズさの解析による評価法を検討した。II.方法被験者は、(1)健常有歯顎者、(2)義歯を使用している無歯顎者、(3)上顎義歯のみ使用している無歯顎者の3グループとした。手指と顔面皮膚上のオトガイ点などの計測点に発光性標点を貼付し、コールドスポットで照明した。音刺激(1.3Hz)に合わせて下顎のタッピング運動と示指によるボタンのタッピングを行わせ、2台のハイスピードビデオ(HSV-200型nac社製)により録画した。録画されたテープを画像解析装置(イメージ・データID-8000型,nac社製)にかけ三次元構築した後、コンピュータに転送し運動経路を解析した。移動速度(V),時間差,移動距離累計(TL),直線距離(SL),迂回度(TL/SL),方向変更角(TH)などを測定し、各グループで比較検討を行なった。III.結果と考察下顎タッピングでは義歯未使用者は有歯顎者および、義歯使用者に比べ、閉口の速度が速く、また時間差ではタッピング回数の初期では先走るが、中期から後期にかけては著しく遅れていく。義歯未使用者のTL,SLは値も変動も大きかった。これより、義歯未使用者は開口量が大きく不安定なことを、閉口速度で補正しようとしていると推測される。指タッピングのDOWN時の速度は、義歯使用者と義歯未使用者のいずれも有歯顎者に比べて遅く、時間差では初期には遅れ、後期には先走る傾向があった。無歯顎者すなわち高齢者では手の振り上げ量が不安定で速度が遅いため、音信号との同期がむずかしいと思われる。
