1.10種以上の太閤記無刊記版の伝本調査を行い、その系統をほぼ確定し得た。加えて諸版を校合し異同表を作成した。これによって改訂の過程を正確に辿ることが可能となった。作者甫庵と出版書肆との関係、その改訂意図、及び読者との関係を含めた近世初頭の出版事情の考察をまとめていく予定である。その際、初期印刷文化に大きく関わったと言われる甫庵の関与の実態を明確にしていきたい。2.上記に関連し、最も早い版の一つと考えられる京都府立総合資料館所蔵の1本に夥しい墨書訂正の跡がみとめられ、かつその箇所が次の版での入木等による訂正と符合していることが明らかになった。改訂のための作者・書肆側の校正、旧蔵者による校合等、さまざまな可能性を考慮して検討していきたい。3.内容上大きな変化をみせる正保三年版について、それ以前の無刊記版との違いを調査・整理した。既に指摘していた通り毛利家に関わる記述訂正が顕著で、しかも人名、数字、日付といった細かい箇所にまで及ぶことが明らかになった。当時の毛利家の修史態度と照らし合わせて検討していきたい。4.太閤記中の漢籍等の出典をでき得るかぎり明確にした。作者甫庵の他の著作をも含めて、その学問のありかた、交流文化圏を検討し、近世初頭の一知識人の学問形態をまとめていきたい。5.今後の課題として、近世中、後期の太閤記受容と変容を、絵入太閤記、絵本太閤記、太閤真顕記等を検討していくことによって明らかにしていきたい。
