项目摘要

本研究の目的は、統一ドイツ文章語成立の過程において相対的後進地域だった上部ドイツ語圏に注目し、その東部の中心地ウィーン市における出版物を調査して、言語模範システムの変化、システム動態化のメカニズム、またそれに付随する言語的諸現象を解明する点にあった。まず、調査の対象となる原資料については、17世紀から18世紀にかけて市内で出版されたカトリック説教集に的を絞り、計19点を入手した。これらは、オーストリア国立図書館の協力を得てマイクロフイルム化したものを、さらに日本において焼き付けたものである。内訳は、17世紀後半のもの6点、18世紀前半のもの6点、同後半のものが7点で、著者は計7人、出版社は計11社であるため、同一著者異なる出版社、同一出版社異なる著者の言語規範の揺れも調査することができた。次に、入手した資料コンピュータ処理するため、機械可読化を開始した。ただし、原資料が膨大な量にのぼるため(約9000頁分)、現時点での入力は予備調査に必要な量に限られている。言語範囲の分析は、書記素論・音韻論・形態論にかかるものについては、おおよその結果が得られている。17世紀の後半において見られた範囲の揺れは、18世紀の前半において多くの部分が解消し、その傾向は同後半において、幾分かの地域的特徴を保ちながらも最後の段階へといたることが、ほぼ明かとなった。なお、本研究は、機械的分析の難しい統語論・語彙論等の分野も含め、引き続き鋭意入力・分析・考察の作業を継続する予定である。現段階での研究結果は、年度末にハイデルベルク大で行われる日本学術振興会日独協力セミナーで発表する。
