(1)高松市内のアクセントの記述調査とその報告壮年層と老年層の、各1名の話者を対象にした記述調査はほぼ完成した。壮年層については、1万語程度の語彙と、用言の活用形・付属語の調査を終えた。老年層の1名については、話者の都合で、調査語彙が稲垣論文のものに限られたのは遺憾である。その結果については、一部を口頭発表した(1994年度日本音声学会)。壮年層については、そのアクセント体系をかなり詳細に明らかにしえた。但し、この話者には、「体系の穴」があり、それが、この世代の話者に共通するものであるのか、個人的なクセであるのか、確認をする必要がある。また、当初の予定になかったが、高松アクセントの祖形に近いと見られる、丸亀アクセントについても記述調査をする機会が得られた。これによって、アクセント変化の詳細が判明した。(2)香川県中央部の分布調査香川県東部については、調査は予定通り終了した。この分布調査によって、高松アクセントの変遷の過程が、さらに明らかになった。県中西部については、未だ不十分である。当初の予定よりも調査量が少なくなってしまったのが遺憾である。今後とも調査を続行したい。(3)分布調査の結果の整理状況テープの、耳による聞き取りはほぼ終了し、音響分析を一部開始したところである。耳による聞き取りの分は、近々報告書として一部を刊行する予定である。
