フランスの金融部門のもつ大きな特徴の一つは,銀行貸出市場における寡占度の高さである.1960年以降現在に至るまで,当該市場における上位5行の市場占有率は50%に近い.この研究では,そうした特徴に焦点を合わせ,資金の貸借としての金融と実体経験の間の関係をマクロ不均衡モデルを構成し,分析した.分析に当っては,金融にかかわる規制の再編成が急速に進みはじめる1980年代半ばまでの期間とそれ以降の期間とを区別するとここした.そして,それぞれの期間に対応するように理論モデルを構成し,分析した.80年代半ばまでの期間を考察したのが宇恵(1994)であり,80年代半ば以降の期間を考察したのが宇恵(1995)である.これら二つのモデルはいずれも,不完全競争的な企業および銀行の行動に基礎を置くマクロ不均衡モデルとしての特徴を備えている.すなわち,短期均衡体系の運動は,貸出市場の需給均衡を表す軌跡の両側において「異る」微分方程式体系によって規定されており,局面転換を伴う安定分析がなされている.日本においても,貸出市場における価格メカニズムの機能不全という問題,換言すれば,信用割当という問題が多くの研究者によって検討されてきた.しかしながら,そうした研究の多くは金融部門の分析にとどまっており,実体経済との間の関係にまで踏み込んだものは少い.この研究は,従来なおざりにされてきたそうした研究分野への一つの試みである.上で述べたように,フランスでは,銀行貸出市場の寡占度は歴史的にみて高い.しかしながら,それよりも高い寡占度(上位5行で50%超)が維持されてきたのが預金市場である.他方,日本においても,預金金利の自由化が進んだとはいえ,預金市場での価格形成が完全競争的になされているとは必ずしもいえない面がある.そこで,今後の研究では,預金市場に焦点を合わせた分析を進める予定である.
