In the Black Sea Region, 13 sections for carbonate platform (Pontides Platform) were selected to provide a more detailed foraminiferal biostratigraphy, and strontium isotope and trace elements (geomarkers) analysis for the purpose of this study. This is to give the shallow benthic fauna, its extinction and survival on the Cretaceous and Tertiary Boundary (KT Boundary), Pontides Platform, and the shallow shelf environment. In Devrekani section, where the fossils of algae, bryozonans, foraminifers, rudists and corals of the Upper Cretaceous (Maastrichtian) and Danian-Thanetian age occur in the thickness of 32 m. The most frequent marker foraminifers are Siderolites calcitrapoides, Hellenocyclina beotica, Orbitoides medius, O.apiculatus, Ompalocyclus macroporus, Cideina soererii, Simplorbites gensacicus, Smoutina cruysi, Navarella joaguini, and Daviesina sp. The KT Boundary showed the beds between samples 806 and 807. In the following strata, the most frequents are bryozoan and echinoids, then small benthic foraminifers of Rotaliidae, Miliolidae, Texturariidae, and well known Planorbulina cretae and Laffiteina. By texture, it is biomicrite with an increased amount of organic matter. In Cide section, the Upper Cretaceous and Paleocene beds are about 145m thick, and are examined along the road with samples 901 and 939. The KT Boundary showed the beds between samples 929 and 930. The Maastrichtian pelagic foraminifers below the KT Boundary belong to Gansserina gansseri-Abathomphalus mayaroensis Zones.Extinction of biota is accompanied by peak of strontium isotope value in Devrekani section, and by peak of concentration of elements as Cr, Co, Ni, and Zn, except Cu, in Golpazai, respectively.
