We have done research into how Japan's trade or international commercial policies should be in the new phase of the evolution of the NAFTA into the FTAA.The specific purpose of our research project is to consider the NAFTA in relation to the development of EU in Europe and of the APEC in Asia-Pacific. Our contribution has been that, along with us economy researchers, those of the Canadian, Mexican, EU,and Asian economies have cooperated to look into how the globalization of regionalism is proceeding.

我们研究了在北美自由贸易协定向自由贸易区演变的新阶段，日本的贸易或国际商业政策应该如何发展。我们的研究项目的具体目的是考虑北美自由贸易协定与欧盟在欧洲的发展和亚太地区的亚太经合组织的发展。我们的贡献是，与美国经济研究人员一道，加拿大、墨西哥、欧盟和亚洲经济体的研究人员合作，研究地区主义全球化的进程。
