The laborsaving management of beef-cattle herd has been required recently in the grazing system. The technique reading ID (Identification : cattle's No.) and weighing cattle in a herd automatically at the same time was developed for the laborsaving management of them. The experiment using automatic weighing scale with ID was carried out and the results were shown below.1. The cause of going to the center facility to weigh was both of the water and the concentrate. The leading panel wall and the automatic open and shut door were effective at the time of weighing.2. The system was effective to measure the gain of body weight of individual and herd of raising beef-cattle. The percentage of identification indicated over 98%, and the percentage of weighing indicated over 90% using the practical head of beef-cattle herd. This shows the notable result to manage the beef-cattle. However, the herd into the center facility in this experiment was gathered compulsory by workers, and then the social rank in the herd was mixed up. If we get the higher percentage of identification and weighing, the social rank and the body weight may be able to get exactly while gathering the herd into the center facility naturally.3. The heating beef-cattle had the body weight loss of 12-6 kg and the social rank decline of 29-39. The ratio of the body weight in that day and the mean of body weights for 3 days before that day was distributed in the middle totally but, in the case of heating cattle, that was distributed in -2.4-0.0%. However, thus system must be improved to get the change of body weight and social rank in the herd immediately.
