Recently, magnetic attachments have gained great popularity in prosthodontic procedures in Japan. The root caps for magnetic attachments are designed to be flat in shape with minimal vertical dimension. So that, the abutment tooth can be free from destructive loads such as lateral and/or rotational stress.Magnetic attachments are also applicable to the implant system throgh the introduction of a specially designed keeper. This keeper is about the same shape as the abutment piece. The keeper is made of magnetic stainless steel.After confirming the osseointegration of the fixture, a keeper is screwed on to the abutment. Natural abutment teeth can be free from destructive loads using magnetic attachments. This system also applies to the implant, very simple fabrication procedures for dentures on the implants are possible.The properties of the surface of the implant keepers were not change by potential difference during thiese clinical cases. Then, it was cofirmed utility of magnetic attachments for oral implant treatment.

近年来，磁性附着体在日本的口腔修复手术中得到了广泛的应用。磁性附着体的根帽设计为扁平形状，垂直尺寸最小。因此，基牙可以免受破坏性载荷，如侧向和/或旋转应力。通过引入特殊设计的保持器，磁性附着体也适用于种植系统。该保持器与基台件的形状大致相同。固位体由磁性不锈钢制成，在确认固位体的骨结合后，将固位体旋入基台。使用磁性附着体可以使天然基牙免受破坏性载荷。该系统同样适用于种植体，可以在种植体上制作非常简单的义齿，在这些临床病例中，种植体保持器的表面性质不受电位差的影响。证实了磁性附着体在口腔种植治疗中的应用价值。
