1.研究目的近年、成人だけでなく、若干者における外反母趾やハンマートゥが報告されている。適せな靴着用に関する基礎的研究が、成人を対象とするばかりでなく、若年者を対象として行われることが切望されている。本研究の目的は、若年者の靴の着量実態を明らかにすることと、靴内圧の実態を明らかにすることにある。2.研究方法(1)若年者の靴の着用実態調査を、愛知県内の若年者群(平均年齢8歳)を調査対象として行った。対照に同県の大学生群(同20歳)を用いた。調査項目は、所持している靴の種類、靴の種類別着用頻度、足の形態的特等等である。(2)靴内圧の実態を調査するため、若年者が着用している靴の靴内圧を、第1趾側、第5趾側、第1趾足蹠部、および踵について測定した。さらに、靴着用時の圧迫感、快適感等の自覚症状調査も同時に行った。3.研究結果靴のサイズを知っている保護者、および靴購入時に費やす時間が30分以内の者の割合は、若年者群は70%であり、対照群の30〜43%に比較して高値であった。若年者群は試し履きよりもサイズを目安に購入していると推測された。若年者が所有している靴は、運動靴が73%、ロ-ファーが6%、ブ-ツが5%であった。若年者群の40%が足爪先に圧迫感を自覚しており、10%が外反母趾であると回答した。若年者群の靴内圧は、第1趾側0.11kg/cm^2、第5趾側0.29kg/cm^2、1趾足蹠部0.53kg/cm^2、および踵0.57kg/cm^2であった。若年者の足の健康確保のためには、保護者による客観的管理が重要であると思われた。
