本年度実施した調査研究の成果は以下の通りである。1. 福井県全域および坂井町について、1960年度から直近年度までの農業センサスおよび『福井県農林水産統計年報』等の統計データを電子データベース化した。その上で、主要項目の時系列的変化を分析し、兼業稲作の深化過程を各指標ごとに把握するとともに、稲作農業の集約性の弱まり等最近の特徴的変化を確認した。2. 福井県坂井町I集落について、全戸面接調査および営農生産組合に関する聞き取り調査を実施し、典型的な兼業稲作農村における各戸の農業経営・兼業形態・家族生活等の現況、兼業化および近年の農業情勢に対する集団的適応としての集落営農の実態を把握した。また、農民意識の面では、「家」の継承および家産に関して、生産組織の設立・展開に伴う顕著な変化等を確認した。3. 山形県酒田市および鶴岡市において、当該地域の農業・農村の現況調査を行った上で、有意選択した農業経営責任者に対して、営農行動および営農意識の変化に関してインフォーマル・インタビューを継続実施した。ごく最近の顕著な特徴として、専業的農民においても兼業志向が進行しつつ、同時に個人ないし有志による消費者とのネットワーク化への志向と行動が現れていること、「市場の論理」への対向論理の模索が生じていること等を確認した。4. 以上の実地調査と並行して、シンボリック相互作用論の質的方法論の文献研究を行い、実地調査への活用を図った。
