Purpose of this study was to clarify the role of education of legal history.1) I researched the doctrine of the first continental legal historian in Japan, Takeo Kuriu about education of legal history.2) I examined criticisms on. the education of legal history in Germany (the Weimar Republic), where he had stayed for his study.3) In order to clarify the role of legal education in our time, I interviewed six legal historians in Japan about their policy of education of legal history.4) I made the report about the role of legal education in symposium held by Science Council of Japan.

本研究的目的是阐明法制史教育的作用。1）我研究了日本第一位大陆法制史学家栗留武雄（Takeo Kuriu）关于法制史教育的学说。2）我审查了对法制史教育的批评。 3）为了明确法学教育在当今时代的作用，我采访了日本的六位法制史学家，了解他们的法制史教育政策。4）我在日本科学会议举办的研讨会上做了关于法学教育作用的报告。
