この一年間の成果は次のようにまとめられる。(1)申請者は論文Direction and curvature of the cracks in two-dimensional elastic bodies Japan Journal of Industrial and Applied Mathematics,Vol.12-2に従ってフォートラン・プログラムを作成し、亀裂を試験的に進展させるところまでがほほ完成した。完全なプログラムにするには尚時間が必要である。(2)申請者は論文Computational crack path prediction and the singularities in elastic-plastic stress fields Mathematical Modeling and Numerical Simulation in Continuum Mechanics(Eds.Babuska,Ciarlet and Miyoshi)(Springerより発行予定)において塑性解の特異性について、特異性の指数が角度には関係しないことを示した。この結果は、Computational crack path predictionのためには重要である。(3)共同研究者の中内はp-harmonic mapのregularityに関し、岡田(本山)は圧縮性ガスの自由境界値問題に関して新しい結果を得た。論文はいずれも現在投稿中である。(4)申請者の研究課題にも関連して、平成12年9月29日-10月3日、山口市において国際会議 International Symposium on Mathematical Modeling and Numerical Simulation in Continuum Mechanicsを開催し、非常に好評であった。ProceedingsはSpringer-Verlagより本年中に発行の予定である。
