今年度は、昨年度に引き続き農村調査データの収集継続及び収集したデータのコンピュータ・ファイル化を行った。まず、年度当初の時点で残っていた約2割の未調査家庭に関して、現地調査補助者による聞き取り調査を行い、6月の段階で、村内で現在住のほとんど全ての家計に関して調査質問票の回収を終えた。その後回収された質問票を検討し、未記入の質問項目や回答内容の瑕疵などの特定を行い、7月に現地を訪問して、再び現地調査補助者による追加聞き取りが行われた。その後10月に再度フィリピンを訪れ、回収された質問票のデータをコンピュタ・ファイルに入力する作業を開始した。この作業にあたっては、フィリピン国内にあって農村家計調査の豊富な経験をもつ国際稲研究所(IRRI)において臨時雇いの助手を3人雇用して作業を行った。データの入力作業は2001年10月から2002年1月にかけて行われた。更に、2002年2月には海外共同研究者であるカリフォルニア大学人類学部James N.Anderson名誉教授を約2週間日本に招聘し、農村調査データの分析に関する打ち合わせを行うと同時に、現在日本に暮らしている調査村出身者の訪問調査を行った。茨城県在住の2人及び千葉県松戸市に在住の2人の4人に関して、それぞれの居住地を訪ねて彼らの来日以来の日本での生活の概況、出身村との(送金などを含めた)連絡状況、などに関して詳細な聞き取り調査を行った。また、Anderson教授はアメリカ帰国の際にハワイに立ち寄り、ハワイ在住の調査村出身者の聞き取り調査を実施した。

About two weeks ago, he conducted a survey on recruitment and analysis of rural surveys in Japan. At the same time, he conducted a survey on interviews with people from rural surveys in Japan. 2 people living in Ibaraki Prefecture and 2 people living in Matsudo City in Chiba Prefecture, 4 people visiting their place of residence, an overview of their life in Japan since the beginning, contact status in the village where they came from, and detailed information. Prof. Anderson conducted the survey on the background of the survey village.
