本研究課題「ワルラスのオークショニアのいない経済の公理的特徴付けの研究」は、取引方法のひとつである相対取引の性質を公理的に明らかにするものである。本年度は、昨年度に引き続き、公理的特徴付けに関する研究を行った。特に公理的特徴づけでよく用いられる公理である、戦略的操作不可能性の研究を進めた。それは、昨年度まで行ってきた戦略的操作不可能性の研究を発展させたものである。一種類の分割不可能な財があり、その財への各個人の選好がsingle peakedな環境での財配分ルールの公理的特徴付けを行った。分割不可能財の配分問題をはじめて扱った論文である、Sasakiは有名な財配分ルールであるUniform Ruleを分割不可能な財も扱えるように拡張し、Randomized Uniform Ruleを提案した。本年度の研究では、私はRandomized Uniform Ruleより若干広いルールを考案した。そして、そのルールが、戦略的操作不可能性、パレート効率性およびEqual Treatment of Equalsという3つの公理を満たす、唯一のルールであるということを示した。この結果は、戦略的操作不可能性とパレート効率性のもとでは、匿名性とEqual Treatment of Equalsが同値である、ということを示している。また、この結果は、財が無限に分割可能な場合にChingはUniform Ruleと戦略的操作不可能性、パレート効率性およびEqual Treatment of Equalsが同値であるということを示したが、それの一般化になっている。以上のことを証明するに当たって、Chingの証明の方法をもちいると、これまでの証明よりも簡単に証明できることがわかった。以上の結果を論文にまとめ、現在、査読付雑誌International Journal of Game Theoryに投稿中である。また、大阪大学社会経済研究所が、経済学の分野における大学院生の研究を奨励するために設けた、第5同社研・森口賞に入選した。
