项目摘要

これまでに,多くの教育用ソフトウェアが開発されているがその多くは最大公約数的な生徒を対象としたものである.実際の教育現場ではそれぞれ生徒のレベルや教育環境が異なるので、理想的には各教育現場の教師がそれぞれのレベルや教育環境に合わせた教育用ソフトウェアを開発することが望ましい.しかし、現実的にはコンピュータを用いて教育を行える教師でも、ほとんどがワープロや表計算の取り扱いはできてもソフトウェア開発まで行えるものは少ない.本研究では「教育現場での実情に応じたマルチメディア教材作成支援」を目標とし、その第一歩として、教育分野の中でもっともコンピュータに対する需要が高い語学教育に的を絞り,語学教育用ソフトウェア部品ならびに,そのソフトウェア部品を活用した語学教育用アプリケーションを試作した.以下に設計・開発の概要を示す.1)英語教育に必要なソフトウェア部品の設計・開発・・・コミュニケーション学習、リーディング学習,ライティング学習支援のために必要とされる英語教育法について、マルチメディア利用の観点から検討し、その検討結果を基に語学教育用部品の設計と開発を行う.2)部品を活用したアプリケーションの開発・・・前項で開発した部品を組み合わせることにより、動画・音声を効果的に組み合わせた英会話練習ソフトウェアとコンコーダンス,コーパス,電子辞書を統合化したリーディング学習,ライティング学習支援のためのアプリケーションを開発する.上記の設計に基づき、現在30余りの部品を開発済みである.これらの部品を使うことにより英語教育用ソフトウェアの開発時間が大幅に短縮できるようになった.今後の計画は、これらの部品を一般に公開し部品の機能や不足部品の調査を行い、その結果を反映していく予定である.なお、研究成果については、ED-MEDIA2002(フインランド)やITHT2001等で発表を行った.
