The accent of compound nouns of 22 villages in the Amami Archipelago was investigated by fieldwork. It was found that the accent was basically determined by the accent of the first element, but there were some exceptions.The durative forms of verbs were also investigated in the dialects. The data of the conjugated forms of verbs and adjectives in the Amami dialects were collected with particular reference to prosodemes.The particles in the Onotsu dialect of Kikai-jima Island show a peculiarity : there is a difference between the accent of the single morpheme particles and that of the morpheme sequences of the same length.

对奄美群岛22个村庄的复合名词口音进行了实地调查。发现重音基本上是由第一个元素的重音决定的，但也有一些例外。对方言中动词的历时形式也进行了研究。收集了奄美方言中动词和形容词的共轭形式的数据，特别提到了韵律。岐开岛小野津方言的语词有一个特点：单个语素语词的重音与相同长度的语素序列的重音不同。
