项目摘要

今年度は、倭製鏡を基軸とする古墳時代の文物の流通システムを分析することを通じ、古墳時代の政治社会構造の展開を明らかにした。発表論文では、畿内王権が直径によって格付けされた倭製鏡を分配することに明示される施策を通じて、畿内地域を核とする中心-周辺関係を意図的につくりだし、倭国という政治社会を整序していたことを解明した。また、畿内王権が、他地域で醸成された祭式を吸収したのちこれ格付けを施して再分配していたことを明らかにした(「古墳時代前期倭製鏡の流通」)。これにより、求心構造の観点から国家形成過程を論じる基盤を整えた。また、数年にわたり調査に参加している古墳群の出土鏡を素材として、古墳時代前期における王権中枢と畿内王権構成勢力との政治社会関係を、具体的なデータに立脚して闡究した(「玉手山古墳群の鏡」)。さらには、国家形成論において文献史学との接点を探るべく、河内王朝論について詳細な議論を展開した(「河内王朝論と玉手山古墳群」)。口頭発表においては、如上の論議をさらに発展させるべく、有力集団内関係(レヴェルI)-有力集団間関係(レヴェルII)-東アジア内関係(レヴェルIII)なる分析視覚を導入したうえで、分析資料及び時期を拡張し、さらにはタンバイアモデルを導入して、倭王権の形成過程(及び求心構造の変遷)をより緻密かつ具体的に論じた。さらに畿内B級古墳群を検討することで、王権中枢と畿内有力集団との関係態の特質とその変遷を詳説した(「倭王権形成試論」)。以上の研究により、今年度までの研究課題を果たすとともに、次年度以降にさらに発展させてゆく中心研究の目標と見通しをえることができた。
