项目摘要

カテゴリ学習と成員間の機能的等価性の成立を検討するため,ハトを被験体とした行動実験を行った。人の顔写真8枚を2分し(原画A,B,C,D)それらを各セツトで2枚ずつ50:50の割合で合成した(50%合成画AB,BC,CD,DA,AC,BD)。これらの刺激セットは、『全てに共通するものはないが、個々の類似性や関連性より全体として1つの系をなす』という家族的類似性構造を持っている。前年度ではこの中からACとBDを除く50%合成画各4枚を訓練刺激とし、2選択同時弁別課題における連続逆転訓練を6羽のハトに行った。テストの結果、1羽のハトが原画・新奇50%合成画、平均顔ABCDを含む11成員の等価クラス成立を示した。本年度では学習方略を確認する目的で弁別完成成後に維持性般化法を用いた転移テストを全てのハトに行った。その結果、全ての新奇刺激に有意な弁別の転移がみられ、家族的類似性構造をもつカテゴリをハトが学習した可能性を示唆していた。前年度の訓練では4羽が学習完成に至らなかったため、50%合成画の関係を明示的に示す目的で親刺激である原画を訓練刺激に含めて連続逆転訓練を行った。その結果、6羽中3羽が学習完成し、知覚的類似性の低い50%合成画同士(例えばABとCD)に機能的等価性の成立が確認された。また、前実験で等価クラス成立を示した1羽のハトは成員全てに交換可能性が成立する傾向を、残りの2羽のハトは一部の原画間での機能的等価性の成立傾向を示している(現在テスト中)。連続逆転訓練によりハトが機能的な等価クラスを形成するというVaughanの知見に加え、個々の事例の交換可能性およびそれらがカテゴリ成員である場合に新奇な刺激間にも転移することが本研究で明らかになった。しかし被験体差は大きく、それらのモデル化のためには刺激、カテゴリ構造、手法等などの見直しを図り今後更なる研究を要すると考えている。
