ベトナムにおいてはドイモイ政策以後,生産について農家単位で意思決定し計画・生産できるようになった結果,農民の生産意欲向上およびそれによる農業生産が増進したことは知られるところである。しかし,同国の人口の8割を占める農民の所得は,米以外の高地系作物等が所得を増加させている地域を除くほとんどの地域においては増加していない。なかでも分散した狭小な農地での耕作条件と基幹作物である米の低価格とのために農業所得が増加していない紅河デルタにおいては,農家が各々の意思決定によって,農業経営の多角化による農業所得の増加と農外所得の増加とによって農家所得を増加させることが重要課題になっている。本稿では,紅河デルタのなかでも最も人口密度が高く立地条件から農業所得および農外所得の双方を獲得しにくい結果農家所得が停滞しているThai binh省TienHai県Thaigenコミューンの農家110戸の実態調査のデータに基づいて,農家所得に直接的に影響を与える農家内部要因(以下要因と略す)と間接的に影響を与える要因について分析した。本研究で得られた知見は以下の諸点である。第1に,農家所得を高める直接的な要因として農外依存度(農家所得に占める農外所得の割合)および農業所得があること。第2に,農家所得を高める間接的要因として,農外依存度を高める要因および農業所得を高める要因について分析した結果,農外依存度を高める要因には15歳以上50歳未満でありかつ高学歴水準世帯員数が多いことが分析された。次に,農業所得を高める要因には,米以外の畜産や野菜による所得が高いこと,および15歳以上50歳未満の世帯員数が多いこと,資本装備率が高いこと等が分析された。
