项目摘要

今年度の研究実積は以下の四点に要約される。第一に東アジア三カ国(日本、タイ、中国)において、経済自由化により政府の地域間格差の介入政策にどのような変容が早られたかの分析結果を米国の二学会の全国大会で口頭発表したことが挙げられる。平成16年4月にシカゴで行われた中西部政治学会の年次大会と平成16年9月にシカゴで行われたアメリカ政治学会(APSA)で"Contested Forces?: Economic Openness and Political Responses to Regional Inequality in East Asia."と題し口頭発表を行い、発表原稿は学会のProceedingとして公表された。第二にこの論文をもとにカリフォルニア大学サンディエゴ校、ミドルベリーカレッジ、ニューヨーク州立大学バッファロー校、アリゾナ州立大学、トロント大学、ロンドン大学の政治学科に招待されてセミナーを行い、他大学の研究者との交流を深めたことがあげられる。第三にInternational Organization誌の第一ラウンドの査読を通過した日本の輸入急増に対する政策介入の変化の実証分析論文を、審査員と学会で得られたコメントを踏まえて改訂し再投稿したことである。第四として、日中貿易摩擦と日本の貿易政策での利益集団のロビー・陳情活動に関する二つの研究プロジェクトを開始したことである。この二つの研究プロジェクトは任期終了後も発展させていく所存である。

This year's research has accumulated the following four proposals. The first is the analysis of the three countries (Japan, Japan and China) in the field of economic liberalization, regional differences in government intervention policies, and the results of the analysis were presented orally at the National Conference of the Second Institute of the United States. Third, the International Organization's first research paper was published in Japan, and the research paper was published in Japan. Fourth, Japan-China trade frictions and interest groups in Japan's trade policy. The second part of the study is to develop after the end of the term.
