Study on assessment and use of hearing compensation aid in audiologic habilitation

1)根据我的调查，现在有3.1%的60岁以上的人佩戴助听器，男女不同，男性4.1%，女性2.1%。通过代际差异，我们证明了从60年代后半期到70年代初，助听器佩戴率呈上升趋势。从“听障自检表”的结果来看，60岁以上的老年人中有7.7%存在听力问题，超过10%的70岁出头的老年人虽然必须佩戴助听器或咨询助听器，但仍未得到适当的听觉补偿支持。2)调查了适合每个老年听障人群的助听器的选择和处方方法，耳内式助听器、耳后式助听器、体戴式助听器、数字助听器、调频助听器和人工耳蜗。3)我开发了一个由日语姓氏组成的语音听力单词表，用于听力受损的人，他们很难适应无意义的单音节单词辨别测试。4)制定了“助听器需求自检表”和“电视听音不满意程度自检表”，让听障老人了解自己在日常生活中遇到的不便。5)通过该问卷，我在全国范围内（目标数量：600）对助听器需求和听觉补偿支持服务进行了调查，并制定了支持方案和指导手册。

1) As a result of my investigation, 3.1% of over 60 year-old people now wear hearing aid, with distinction of sex, 4.1% of men and 2.1% of women. With generation distinction, we prove that rate of wearing hearing aid shows a tendency to go up from latter half 60's to early 70's. From the result of "self-check list to hard of hearing", 7.7% of over 60-year old people have problems of hearing, and over 10% early 70's old people have not yet received appropriate auditory compensation support in spite of candidates who have to wear or consult hearing aid.2) I investigated about the way to select and prescribe hearing aid to fit each old hearing-impaired people, in-the-ear type hearing-aid, behind-the-ear type hearing-aid, body worn type hearing-aid, digital hearing-aid, FM hearing aid and cochlear implant.3) I developed a speech audiometric word lists consist of Japanese family names for hearing-impaired people who are difficult to adapt to nonsense mono-syllabic word discrimination test.4) I developed "self-check list of hearing-aid need" and "self-check list of dissatisfaction degree of TV sound listening", so that hearing-impaired old people can check how they feel inconvenience in their daily life.5) By means of this questionnaires, I made nation-wide (the number of target: 600) investigation on the need for hearing aids and support service of auditory compensation, and I developed a support program and guidance book.
