本研究の目的は、一般線形回帰モデルにおける一般化最小2乗推定量(generalized least squares estimator, GLSE)の小標本における効率性の評価の問題に関して新たな理論的展開を得ることである。2年目にあたる平成14年度の活動は、以下の通りである。(1)Intra-inter-class correlation matricesのクラスにおける順序構造を、「直交群によって誘導される擬順序」を用いて明らかにした。この研究は、申請書に記載した研究計画の中にある、「GLSEのリスク行列が下限を達成するための条件に関する研究、Raoの共分散構造に関する研究」と密接に関連する。この結果は、East Asian Symposium on Statistics(平成14年12月2-4日、ソウル大学で開催)で発表し、結果を記載した論文は、現在投稿中である。(2)GLSEの分布の退化に関する研究として、Usami and Toyooka(1995,Math.Japonica)の結果の精緻化を行った。結果を記載した論文は、現在投稿準備中である。(3)刈屋武昭教授(京都大学)と共著書"Generalized Least Squares"の執筆を行い、John, Wiley and Sons社からの出版が決定した。現在、原稿の最終的完成のための執筆中である。

The purpose of this study is to develop a generalized least squares estimator (GLSE) for linear regression analysis. 2 years of activity, the following activities.
