シンプレクティックな対称性をもった2次元系のアンダーソン転移の臨界指数を、いわゆるSU(2)モデルのシミュレーションにより正確に決定した。今まで数多くのシミュレーションが行われてきた安藤モデルと比べて、このSU(2)モデルではスケーリングの補正が特に小さい。この特徴によりスケーリング補正を無視することが可能となり、従来に比べて非常に正確な臨界指数の決定が可能となった。本研究はPhysical Review Letters誌の2002年12月号に載された。MacKinnon-Kramer法による局在長の計算を改良し、並列計算機を効率的に利用できるようにした。東京大学物性研究所の並列計算機を利用することにより、3次元系SU(2)モデルの臨界指数の決定を現在進めている。磁性不純物を含んだランダム系におけるdephasingの問題を研究するプログラムを、このプロジェクトの初年度に開発した。しかしながら期待したよりもはるかし小さいdephasingの効果しか得られなかった。この理由は今後の研究課題である。
