The main historical materials investigation for three years destination is as follows.(Japan)Yokohama Archives of History, Nagasaki prefectural library, Nagasaki prefectural museum, Nagasaki University, Hakodate city library, Hokkaido Archives, Hokkaidoritu library, Hokkaido University, Kobe Municipal Museum, Archives of Ministry of Foreign Affairs(foreign countries)Shanghai municipal Archives, Shanghai city library, London university soas library, British National Archives, British Library, Glasgow university Archives, British national Maritime Museum, and British Library newspaper libraryThe main result of the historical materials investigation is as follows.1.Making of proceedings list in the minutes of management subject of kobukyoku2.Making of list of historical materials of kobukyoku related to Japan3.Making of list of Russell paper owned to British National Archives4.Making of list of article related to Japan of London Times in the middle of 19th centuryIt partially started it based on these lists inspection and the collection of historical materials.There is a difference and a commonness as the treaty ports that comes from the situation (international position of east Asia) as international open ports in three ports. The situation off those changing in quality by the change of the management situation and powers and the age in the residence ground (settlement) in various places became considerably clear.

三年主要史料调查目的地如下。（日本）横滨历史资料馆、长崎县立图书馆、长崎县立博物馆、长崎大学、函馆市立图书馆、北海道档案馆、北海道图书馆、北海道大学、神户市立博物馆、外交部档案馆（外国）上海市 档案馆、上海市图书馆、伦敦大学索斯图书馆、英国国家档案馆、大英图书馆、格拉斯哥大学档案馆、英国国家海事博物馆、大英图书馆报刊图书馆史料调查的主要结果如下：1.古部曲管理科目纪要记录清单的制作2.与日本有关的古部曲史料清单的制作3.英国国家档案馆拥有的罗素纸清单的制作4.清单的制作 19世纪中叶《伦敦时报》有关日本的文章部分是根据这些清单考察和历史资料的收集开始的。三个港口作为国际开放港口的情况（东亚的国际地位）作为通商口岸有区别和共性。各地居住地（聚落）的管理状况、权力和年龄的变化所带来的质量变化的情况已经相当明显。
