【目的】青年期にある人々の恋人間暴力に関する認識と平等主義的性役割態度との関連を明らかにする。【方法】A大学医学部の1,2年次の男女学生153人を対象に、暴力に関する認識、平等主義的性役割態度に関する自記式の質問紙調査を行なった。暴力に関する認識は、中村の家庭内暴力の神話10項目を用い、「全然そう思わない」から「全くその通りだと思う」の4段階で回答を得た。平等主義的役割態度は鈴木の短縮版15項目を用い、合計得点が高い程、男女平等主義を示している。暴力に関する認識は「全然そう思わない」とそれ以外の2群に、平等主義的性役割態度は合計得点の中央値以上と未満の2群に区分しMann-Whitney検定を行なった。有意水準は5%未満とした。【結果】対象者は男性34.6%、平均年齢19.7±1.3歳であった。正しい認識を持っている者が少なかった項目は「加害者は心の病気を持っている」「アルコールが暴力の原因である」「加害者は何でも暴力で解決しようとする」で、各5.9%、7.2%、10.5%であった。平等主義的性役割態度の合計得点の中央値は男性55.0点、女性60.0点で、女性の方が有意に高かった。認識と平等主義的性役割態度との間で関連が見られたのは、「殴られる女性は少数である」「殴られる女性はマゾである」「暴力は貧困層において発生する」「殴られる女性の教育程度は低い」「加害者は社会で差別されている人である」「殴られる女性はそこからいつでも逃げられる」の項目で、全て暴力に関する認識の高い者の方が平等主義的性役割態度得点も有意に高かった。【考察】加害者に関する認識が低かったこと、認識と平等主義的性役割態度と関連がみられたことから、精神疾患、アルコール、貧困等は暴力の原因ではなく誘引であること、および平等主義的性役割態度を高める内容等を暴力予防教育プログラムに含めることが不可欠であると考える。
