项目摘要

本年度はデジタル化に関しFlashpix形式とPDF形式を採用していたが、Flashpix形式以外での閲覧方法としてJPG形式を用いたJavaViewer、UniversalViewing形式、PDF形式に代わるものとして、Macromedia FlashPaperを選択し検証を行った。しかし従来の形式の方が画像の質、操作性に優れているうえ、上記のビューアーを選択すると従来の画像ファイル形式以外にもJPG、FlashPaperという形式での保存が必要となるため、学生とともにアーカイブ化を行うという当初の目的から、できるだけ複雑な作業を避けたいという理由で今回は上記のファイル形式での公開を見送ることにした。今後は学生のスキルを判断したうえで導入を検討したいと思っている。前回問題となった現在使用している閲覧用サーバーのサポートが減少しており、ユーザーがビューワーをダウンロードできないため、当データベースを閲覧できないとう点に関しても、ライブピクチャージャパン株式会社から東芝にプロダクトが引き継がれることとなり、以前よりサポートが充実したためFlashpix形式のみの公開で支障はないと判断した。現在そちらのサイトの事例紹介ページに当データベースが紹介されている。本年度はできるだけ多くの所蔵品をアーカイブ化することを目標とし、本年度も前年同様司書学生ボランティアを募り、アーカイブ作業を行った。その際、昨年同様古文書のデジタル化作業に必要となる基本的な操作の講習を行ったのち作業を行った。この講習は司書教育にも応用可能である。こんごは、アーカイブした古典籍の現代語訳にも取り組んでゆく予定である。
