本研究では、統監府時代(1905-1910年)と朝鮮総督府時代(1910-1945年)における朝鮮半島の古建造物調査と、それに基づいて行われた保存行政の全体像を把握する。本研究の目的は、次の三つに要約できよう。1 関野貞を中心とした日本人学者が朝鮮半島という地で成立させた、古建造物の保存価値基準を追跡する。2 当時内地(日本)と外地(朝鮮半島)で各々行われた、古建造物保存行政を比較する。3 朝鮮総督府の保存行政のうち、木造建造物の修理事業の全貌を明らかにする。韓国における文化財保存政策は1962年文化財保護法の制定によって本格化されるが、その以前では1902年当時、東京帝国大学教授の関野貞による古建造物調査が最初の試みであり、以後関野貞は保存政策にも中心的存在として参加している。特に、彼の韓国の古建造物に対する価値評価作業は、そのまま保存基準として朝鮮総督府の行政に反映されたと考えられる。本年度の研究では、主に東京大学総合研究博物館所蔵の関野貞史料を整理分析作業に参加した。関野貞史料は、日本、中国、韓国の遺蹟および古建造物調査に関するものが大半を占めている。史料の形態からみると、写真、拓本、手紙、書類、メモ、印刷物などに分類できる。特に、文化財関連書類と覚書については今後の分析が必要である。

This study aims to investigate the ancient structures on the Korean Peninsula during the period of the General Administration Office (1905-1910) and the Korean Government Office (1910-1945), and to grasp the overall image of the preservation administration. The purpose of this study is to provide information on the three issues. 1 Sekino Sadao Center Japanese scholars on the Korean Peninsula and the establishment of the ancient building preservation criteria to trace 2 At that time, the mainland (Japan) and the outside (Korean Peninsula) were divided into two groups: the administrative department of ancient buildings preservation and the administrative department of ancient buildings preservation. 3. Overview of the preservation administration and repair of wooden structures of the Korean Government Office Korea's Cultural Property Preservation Policy Since 1962, when the Cultural Property Protection Law was enacted, the Center for Cultural Property Preservation Policy was established in 1902, when Professor Sekio Sekio of Tokyo Imperial University conducted research on ancient structures. The evaluation of the ancient buildings in Korea is based on the evaluation of the administrative work of the Governor General's Office of Korea. This year's research was conducted by the University of Tokyo Museum of Integrated Research, which organized and analyzed the relevant historical materials. The historical materials of Sekio, Japan, China and Korea account for most of the historical relics and ancient structures investigated. Historical materials are classified into categories such as photos, rubbings, toilet paper, books, magazines and printed materials. Special, cultural property related books and books are necessary for future analysis.
