项目摘要

本年度においては、戦国時代の諸国の国制と、漢代郡県の地域性の関係についての検討を行った。戦国時代、秦及び韓・魏・趙の三晋諸国とが、郡県制の枠組みに共通する側面が多いことは従来より指摘されているが、それ以外の燕・斉・楚といった諸国については、不明点が依然として多かった。本研究では、まず、『春秋左氏伝』等にみられる地名について検証を行い、三晋諸国の領域の地名については、その多くが漢以降も位置比定が可能であるのに対し、それ以外の領域、とりわけ楚国の地名の多くが、漢以降には位置比定が不可能になっていることを確認し、そのことから、三晋諸国では漢以降にも継続する比較的大規模な聚落が一定程度存在した反面、楚国の領域においては、漢以降には廃絶した小規模な聚落が広く散在していたことを推定した。さらに、こうした聚落形態の差異が戦国諸国の国制に反映されていることを明らかにするための作業を行った。また、各地域における聚落形態の差異を、農業生産力の地域的格差という側面から検証するため、漢代の侯国の設置地域と規模についての検討を行い、その結果、現在の河南省や河北省南部といった内陸部では比較的生産力が高かったのに対し、淮水以南及び東方沿海部といった周辺地域では、その半分程度でしかなかったことが確認された。こうした地域区分は、三晋諸国とその周囲に存在した燕・斉・楚の領域に適合するとともに、各地域の聚落形態や、広い意味での地域性の相違のよって来たるところを強く示唆するものである。この成果の一部については、「前漢侯国の分布-『漢書』外戚恩沢侯表を中心に-」として公表準備中であるが、戦国期に関する今年度の上記の成果や、前年度までの研究と結合させた総合的成果は現在とりまとめている最中である。
