项目摘要

今年度は研究課題の主要テーマ「映像教育運動」に重点を置き、以下の研究成果を得た。(1)教育映画の総体を把握するためのデータベース化作業。現存する作品に関しては東京国立近代美術館フィルムセンター、大毎映像ライブラリー、プラネット映画資料館(大阪)を始めとする映像アーカイヴ施設において一次資料(フィルム)を、失われてしまったと思われる無数の作品に関しては国会図書館、国立教育研究所図書館を始めとする図書館施設において二次資料(雑誌類)をそれぞれ閲覧し、目録化。(2)映像教育史の再考。1901年から1911年までの文部省を始めとする各種団体による教育映画上映の試みを、当時の新聞・(映画および教育)雑誌の記述から分析。「児童」ならびに「心理学」がいまだ重要な役割を果していない点において、これらの上映運動は明治期の国民啓蒙の延長上にあることを指摘し、従来の単線的な映像教育史観に切断を導入する。(3)初期映像教育運動の言説分析。1928年の創刊から1943年の廃刊まで、戦前の映画教育運動の中心を担っていた雑誌『映画教育』全号、ならびに雑誌の発行元である大阪毎日新聞の記事の分析。大正期のメディア・イヴェント的映画利用(国勢調査や東宮御渡欧実況など)から、昭和期の学校における恒常的映画上映への転回を「もう一つの映画ネットワーク」の構築過程として読み解き考察した。

This year's main research topic "Image Education Movement" focuses on the following research results (1)Educational graphics are integrated into the design process. The existing works are related to the Tokyo National Museum of Modern Art, the National Museum of Modern Art, Osaka.
