本研究課題において昨年度得られた誤差項の離散平均と連続平均に関する結果をさらに発展させるもの得ることに成功した。具体的には、古典的約数問題における誤差項の一般べき乗平均、特に三乗から九乗平均までの離散および連続平均の差の評価の改良を行った。また、この改良における手法をその他の類似の問題に応用することも研究の対象として成果を得た。一般の数論的関数f(n)に対し、そのxまでの和から生じる誤差項をE(x)とおく。この関数f(n)とE(n)の積に関する和公式の考察は昨年度の本研究課題で得られた成果であるが、本年度はその一般化として「f(n)とある振動関数の積に関する和公式」として更なる考察を行った。具体的には、数論的関数f(n)と周期的ベルヌーイ関数と呼ばれる振動関数の積に関する和公式やf(n)と関数E(x/n)の積に関する和公式などを考察した。特にそれらの例として約数問題の場合を深く考察した。これらの問題は数論的関数の古典的な研究に深くつながりがあり、既存の結果の別表示・別解釈を与えるものとして捕らえられるものであるということも考察された。また、周期的ベルヌーイ関数との積については、二次元平面領域に関するある種の平均値定理の先行する研究に対応しており、その先行する結果の特殊な場合の改良を与えることも本研究で得られた成果として挙げられる。
