本年度の研究活動における研究実績はおよそ次の二点に概括できる。第一に、前年度より調査・分析をつづけていた血脈・系図類の報告である。特に、真言宗の古刹、小野随心院(京都市山科区)所蔵典籍から、血脈類の調査・分析を行い、血脈を書誌学的・様式的に分類する方法を確立したのと同時に、その血脈が所蔵される随心院経蔵内における位置づけ、また倹飩函内における位置づけという観点から考察をおこない、そのことによって、血脈が人的ネットワークのみならず、聖教という書物間におけるネットワークをも構築していることを明らかにしえた。第二に、中世初頭における南都諸寺の縁起説の集成であり、つまり歴史叙述たる『建久御巡礼記』諸伝本の調査・分析と、そのことによってなしえた新たな伝本系統論の構築、「よみ」の進展である。従来知られていた伝本群の再調査に加え、本年度の調査活動によって、天理図書館所蔵『大和寺集記』所引「巡礼記」、阪本龍門文庫蔵『南都山階寺諸寺諸院私記』、日本大学総合学術センター所蔵『後鳥羽院御順礼記』、無窮会神習文庫所蔵『後鳥羽院御巡礼記』を考察対象に加えることができた。そのことによって、これまで35年間書き換えられることのなかった伝本系統論を再構築し、中世初頭より近世初期にいたるまでの同書の享受の様相と、建久度「巡礼記」が南都諸寺社の歴史にとっていかなる意味を持ちえていたかという点を明らかにした。
