项目摘要

本研究の目的は、中国西部放牧地域(主に内モンゴル自治区・新疆ウイグル族自治区の2地域)における貧困の現状を把握するとともに、経済・社会・生態環境などの多次元から貧困の規定要因を分析し、現地の実情に適合した貧困軽減の開発のあり方を構築することにある。この目的を実現するために、2つの放牧地域に関する文献研究とともに、現地調査が必要不可欠である。平成17年度に行った主な研究活動は以下のいくつである。(1)中国農業大学人文与発展学院および青島科技大学経済与管理学院を訪問し、2地域の土地所有制を中心に文献・資料を収集した。(2)上記2大学の研究者たちと研究会を開き、調査地の経済・経営・生態環境について情報を交換し、過去2年間に渡って行ってきた研究結果についてディスカッションした。(3)内モンゴルで生産規模の異なる畜産農家へのインタビューによる調査結果を報告書としてまとめた。調査分析の結果、中規模の畜産農家の一人当たり所得水準は小規模の畜産農家の一人当たり所得水準より遥かに高いことが明らかになった。なお、詳しい研究結果は龍谷大学国際社会文化研究所『国際社会文化研究所紀要』第8号を参照する。
