本研究は歴史的土木遺産を対象にその形態的、景観的特性がどのように人々の歴史的印象に影響するかを明らかにする。これにより歴史的価値があってもその視覚的特性上の問題から不適切な扱いを受けている構造物の景観保全を考える。まず埼玉県の煉瓦水門を評価対象として、昨年に引き続き51基の水門について現地調査を実施した。その結果を昨年度整備した土木遺産の歴史的印象チェックリストの形式でとりまとめ歴史的煉瓦水門特有の煉瓦の表情や構造形態の時間変化、装飾的要素の形態的特徴、水門の周辺景観の特性から、どのような歴史的印象を持ちうるかを把握できるようにした。さらに水門のどの特性が特定の歴史的印象に影響するかを詳細に知るために、形態認識に関するアンケート調査を実施した。評価においては、煉瓦水門を、「歴史的に感じるか」「より古さを感じるか」「魅力的か」の3つの基準により考察を行った。またこれらの印象を感じるのは、煉瓦水門のどの部分に着目したときであるかを併せて評価している。基本的な傾向として、煉瓦、汚れ・破損が歴史性認識の大きな要因となる。煉瓦水門の形にユニークな特徴がある場合、より歴史性認識が高まる。装飾についても、歯状・鋸状の装飾など他ではあまり見られないものが施されている場合や、ほかの水門に比べ装飾が多い場合に、歴史性を強く認識する。また周辺環境については、人工的な改変が無く自然に囲まれている、もしくは煉瓦水門と周辺が一体化している場合、歴史的認識が高まる。さらに周辺環境を含めた今後の景観保全を考えるために、歴史性、魅力、古さの3基準の組み合わせにより煉瓦水門をタイプ分けし、それぞれに望ましい整備方針について整理した。

Comments on 価においては, Renko Minato を, "歴史的にSense じるか" "より古さをSense じるか" "Charming か" の3つのBenchmark により Observation を行った.またこれらのIMpression をSense じるのは, 热tile Minato のどのpart に目したときであるかを和せて Comment価している. The basic nana tendencies, brick making, soiling, and damage are the historical understanding of the major nana factors. The shape of the tile-making Minato is the special occasion, and the historical recognition is high.
