本研究の前年度の目的は,精密弾性印象材として臨床において広く用いられている重付加型シリコーンゴム印象材の操作性の向上,すなわち,硬化前ペーストに練りやすさと垂れにくさを付与することであった。これを受けて今年度は硬化体の物性の向上を目指して研究を行った。前年度に得られた試作ペースト中,練りやすさと垂れにくさを兼ね備え,最も操作性が良いと思われたキャタリストペースト相当のフィラー含有率40%のペーストに希釈触媒液を加えて,フィラー含有率40%のベースペースト相当のペーストと練和することにより硬化体を試作した。硬化体は,はじめに動的試験として粘弾性スペクトロメータによる動的粘弾性試験を行い,貯蔵弾性率と損失正接を測定した。その結果,貯蔵弾性率は市販の従来型よりも小さな値をとる傾向を示し,損失正接は市販の高弾性型よりも小さな値をとる傾向を示した。また,静的試験として弾性ひずみ,永久ひずみ,硬さ試験を行った。その結果,市販材料の従来型と比較して弾性ひずみは大きく,永久ひずみは同程度硬さは小さな値をとる傾向を示した。レジンとの接着に関しては,3種類の市販印象材に附属した接着剤について赤外分光光度計を用いて赤外分光分析を行い,含まれている官能基を推定した。その結果,共通してメチル基を含む有機けい素化合物が含まれていることが推定された。また,レジンとの接着が比較的良好な市販材には脂肪族不飽和炭化水素の存在が推定された。これらを参考に接着剤を試作しレジンとの接着性を検討した。その結果,接着強さはレジンとの接着が比較的良好な市販材料と同程度を示し,破断面は界面破壊を認めた。
