成果1)「主体交代と産業集積:佛山タイル産業の事例を中心に」本稿は、佛山タイル産業についてのフィールドワークを通じて、景徳鎮と並んで中国でも有数のセラミックス産地としての佛山地域の産業集積の過程および産業集積における生産組織の変貌を制度論的な立場から捉えようとするものである。佛山のセラミックス産業は1950年代の再編によって、建築陶磁器や日用陶磁器、工業理化学用陶磁器などの多業種型産業構造となった。1980年代初期から佛山は国有企業を中心にタイルへの経営資源の全面的集中の転換を図っていった。1990年代になると、郷鎮企業が計画的に興され、非能率の国有企業の地位を凌駕するに至った。しかし、郷鎮企業もまた所有性問題を抱えていて、市場の高度化に伴い、その先進性を失っていった。この時期になると、地方の郷鎮政府が講じた改革は郷鎮企業に対する大規模な民営化改革と民営企業の育成であった。1990年代末期になると、産業の担い手はさらに郷鎮企業から民営企業へと転換した。佛山のタイル産業はこのような主体交代を通じて制度的に高度化し、競争力を保ち続けられてきた。このような制度的転換において、佛山は景徳鎮とは異なる特徴を持っている。本調査を通じて得られた結果は、今後の両地域に関する比較研究においても大きな意味を持つと考えられる。成果2)江蘇省の地場産業に関する調査研究現代中国経済の発展をもたらした諸要因についての議論は、これまで主に資本や労働、技術等の企業の外部をめぐる環境要素に重点を置かれてきた。しかし、江蘇省を中心とする中国南部地域では、企業間の分業関係を通じて、中小企業を中心とした発展の現象がみうけられる。そのような産業組織的な発展要因は、いかなる形式で現れているのか、またこれらの組織は従来のギルドのような中国伝統的な組織とはいかなる関係を持つのか。こうした課題を念頭に置きつつ、江蘇省社会科学院と共同して常熟市のアパレル産業と丹陽市の眼鏡産業を事例に蘇南地域(揚水江次南の江蘇省南部地域)の地場産業に対して1年間あまりの調査研究を実施した。
