项目摘要

本年度(最終年度)は2006年3月中旬から4月中旬にかけて約4週間ベトナム北中部(私費),5月初旬から下旬にかけて約4週間インドネシア(科研費),そして9月下旬から10月中旬にかけての約4週間ベトナム北部(科研費)で野外調査を行った.本研究課題での主要論文「A Revision of Northern Vietnamese Species of the ant genus Pheidole(仮題)」の原稿はほぼ仕上がっており,上記の調査の過程で新たに得た標本の詳細な検討に基づき加筆・修正を行い,「Zootaxa」誌に投稿ずる予定である.その他に,Probolomyrmex属の東洋区に産する種の分類学的再検討やベトナムからのトフシアリ属群の新属Parvimyrmaの記載などの出版を通じて,インドシナ地域のアリ煩多様性に関する重要な新知見を提供できた.また,「アジアのアリ類研究者ネットワーク」のニュースレター編集員を引き継ぎ,来年度創刊予定の学術誌「Asian Myrmnecology(アジアのアリ学)」の編集委員会メンバーに加わることで,東南アジア地域におけるアリ煩研究者コミュニティーの発展に寄与している.主要調査地であるベトナムのBui Tuan Viet博土との共同研究の成果はこの3年間で計5本の共著論文として発表した(掲載決定1本を含む).ベトナム生態学生物資源研究所(ハノイ)のアリ類標本コレクションの拡充にも積極的に協力した(正複式標本9点,副複式標本10点の寄贈を含む).以上のように,本研究課題申請の際に掲げた2つの目標,インドシナ産オオズアリ属の多様性生物学的研究および東南アジア地域におけるアリ類研究の基盤構築,について十分な成果を上げることができたと確信している.本研究期間中に収集した標本コレクションの中には未だ多くの新知見が眠っていると予想され,それらについては今後の研究の過程で明らかにしていくつもりである.
