3次元の非線形シグマ模型は、摂動論的に繰り込み不可能である。しかし、非摂動論的には繰り込むことができ、large-N展開やWilson的な繰りこみ群の方法で非自明な固定点が存在し、相転移現象があることが知られている。私の研究では、この3次元の非線形シグマ模型の中でも、超対称性が2種類入った模型について、large-N展開の手法を用いて解析した。その結果、CP(N)模型では超対称性を保つ2種類の真空が存在することが分かった。この模型のβ関数はT.Inami et.al.(Prog.Theor.Phys.103(2000)1283-1288)によって既に調べられ、そのβ関数にはlarge-N展開のnext-to-leadingの寄与が存在しないことが調べられており、これは2種類の超対称性によるものではないかと考えられてきた。しかし、私たちが以前に研究したWilson的繰りこみ群の方法の結果から推測すると、他の2種類の超対称を持った模型にはlarge-N展開のnext-to-leadingの寄与がでると思われた。そこで、私たちはさらに、Q(N)模型という模型をlarge-N展開の手法で解析した。その結果、この模型には3種類の超対称性を保つ真空が存在し、そのβ関数は、next-to-leadingの寄与も存在することが分かった。また、これらの非摂動論的な解析を現象論的な研究にも役立てるため、まず現象論的な研究を行った。最近、高次元の時空の構造から標準理論のフレーバーの対称性が導き出せることがわかってきた。高次元時空が複数個の固定点を持つ場合、そのフレーバー対称性は不連続な群の構造を持つ。そのような不連続なフレーバー対称性を持つ理論が現在の現象論的な問題である、陽子崩壊や超対称粒子であるスレプトンの質量に対してどのような予言を与えるか調べた。
