项目摘要

ロシア連邦サハ共和国におけるホムス(口琴)の伝承に関する調査を行い、人と音文化の関わりについて考察するため、本年は二度サハに渡航した。当初首都と近郊、遠方都市の伝承状況の差異に注目したが、ホムス演奏は村や都市で個別に演奏される他、国内、諸外国でと多岐にわたり、ホムスを巡る人々の動向は、その個々の焦点化だけでは全体像が見えないとホムシストから助言があった。筆者の研究は多角的で実践性も多分に含んだ音を通じた人のネットワークの試みのため(調査では司会や演奏を含む参加型参与観察)、その指摘を反映した調査内容を以下に列記する。1.愛知万博でのサハ文化団のマンモスラボ開会式儀礼、ロシアパビリオンサハ週間を司会等行い参与観察(期間:05年3月18日〜4月3日)。マンモスラボ閉会式同行調査(9月30日)。2.「ヨーロッパとアジアのホムスコンサート」出演及び同行。3.共和国文化大臣と副首相に愛知万博への文化団派遣の意図聴取。4.サハ共和国国立高等音楽院ホムス講師に集中的インタビュー。本調査で明らかとなったことは、共和国政府(初代大統領が1990年代半ば日本を始とする各地に演奏家を連れて回った等)、祭り、学校、コンクール、ホムシスト、国際口琴大会、サハ語によるテレビ、ラジオ放送と広範囲のファクターが立体的・多層的に絡まり合い、現時点で観光や音楽産業と強い結びつきが無くとも、内外からその音世界が強い関心を集める世界でも稀有な状況を浮かび上がらせていることだ。この多層的に出現する音の空間が、互いに絶妙なハーモニーを奏でる現状がこの独自性を裏付ける鍵と指摘したい。また、筆者も会員の北海道標茶町塘路口琴研究会「あそう会」は、会の発足が1991年以来のサハのホムシストとの演奏交流に由来し、演奏・製作技術の創造的な場を持ち続けてきた独自性も指摘する。本成果は『季刊北方圏』131号〜134号等に反映した。
